Sickened

Today when I opened up my email I learned that the Tillman Case had now made National News. News Story  I reread the story as I had since yesterday and again thought to myself, why? What has happened in today's society that a person might think it was ok not to hit a girl but to beat another human being to death just as not hit a girl? A mindless act of murder. It hurts my heart to think that things have gone so far out of reality that things like this happen.

Why? Have parents not raised their children right? Are things like this becoming the norm? Are we to live in fear of being an innocent bystander that gets wrapped up in something aweful? There were also between 60-80 witnesses. Why did not one of them step up and say hey this is wrong? Are we afraid of interfering? Why not step up and stand up for what is right?
I can't help but wonder sometimes if my family is the minority in the world today. We teach our children right from wrong just as we were taught. We punish when they misbehave and we reward when they do good acts. I wonder if some of the parents of the children that were involved did the same? Our family attends church every Sunday and Wednesday and tries to live in the word of God's Love and we try to show it to others. Sometimes we fail but most of the time we do what is right and stand up to what is wrong. I wonder if these children ever stepped in to a place that they were loved? “You made my body, Lord; now give me sense to heed your laws” (Psalm 119:73)

I know that watching what has happened in the past few days with this situation that happened in the town I grew up in that I will be more willing to speak out for what is wrong and that I will more openly share my love and God's love with others. Maybe if we all share a little more compassion with one another and less judgement then we will help things like this from happening. My heart is breaking for all the families involved. My heart hurts for the boys that made such a bad choice that now will affect them for the rest of their lives. My heart hurts for those that witnessed this graven situation and did not have the strength to step up and do what is right and will live with that image for the rest of their lives. My heart especially hurts for the family of Bobby who will no longer get to see his shining face everyday and have to wonder what would or could have been.

My prayers are with them all.

Happy Father's Day

Well we had an interesting Father's Day today. For the most part we celebrated with Jon yesterday. He got his sleep in day and we gave him his presents (a new shirt and a mouse pad with the kids on it) yesterday. Today we said our see you laters (not goodbyes because we will keep in touch) to our Pastor Tim. Today was his last service at Bright Star. It was bittersweet. We know that he will be missed at Bright Star but he is also going to get his first church and be a senior pastor at Lowell UMC. We are excited for him but are also going to miss him a bunch.

We left church after getting there at 8:30 at 2:00. It was a very long day but awesome music and a wonderful message. Here are the things that we learned today:
  • God does not make crap!
  • God will provide you just have to trust him.
  • Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
  • Sparrow's don't worry about what they will wear or how they will get food; they just trust that God will provide for them.
After church we came home and had a fun afternoon with the kids. Abby wouldn't nap because she took a short 20 min nap in the car so she and Jon went outside and played in the pool for a while. They had a lot of fun just having some daddy/daughter time together. Later when Alex got up, Alex, Abby, and Daddy got the slip and slide out. Then we finally sat down to some dinner. Jon wanted burgers but we forgot to lay out the hamburger so I made him Bacon Cheese Patty Melts and Fried Potato Skins (his fave).

Brother woke up and joined the fun
Not sure Abby quite understands.

All in all it was a great day! Hope you all had a wonderful father's day also!!!

Until tomorrow!

Lots of Thoughts

More or less my ramblings of today is just because I needed to get the feelings out before I exploded. Hope you are all doing well and very sorry that I have not written this week but Camp is crazy and I have been seriously going to be at 8 every night. God is so good. We have an awesome group of kids this year at camp and what usually takes up a week and half we did in four days. The kids are already up on the stage with the set done blocking the play. I just can't express how great this group of kids are, they are helpful and kind and just join all together as a group. It is amazing and makes all the hard work VERY worth it!

Anyways on with today's post...So I have been thinking lately about some of the people in my life. Some good, some bad. I have decided that I need a detox and need to focus on the things that really matter. I need to focus on God and serving him the way that I should be serving and I need to focus on my family and doing the right things for them. So we are going to go back to the basics and live a life with us and just cut the bad things out of our lives.

I wish that friends that I thought were friends would walk the walk that they talk but alas they don't and keep falling back into the same patterns that they previously have shown. So instead of dwelling on it and causing more pain in my life I am going to let it go and walk away.

You know let go and let God. Until tomorrow!

Knock Knock...

So our car rides lately have been filled with Knock Knock Jokes. Both of the kids have been getting in on the action. They love it and the laugh and giggle so much. Alex's favorite two:

Knock Knock.
Who's There?
Boo!
Boo Who?
Don't cry it's just a joke.

Knock Knock
Who's There?
Banana
Knock Knock (yes he does not give us a chance to say Banana Who)
Who's There?
Banana
Knock Knock
Who's There?
Orange
Orange Who?
Orange you glad I didn't say Banana?

Abby even has her way of saying it.

Knot Knot Mommy
Who's there?
Nana who?
Knot Knot Daddy
Who's there?
All my Nana!

It was is such a joy to listen to our children learn and grow even if it is the same knock knock joke 150 times in a row.

Father's Day Ideas

Here are some wonderful things that I have found for father's day. Thought that I would pass it along to all of you!

Homemade Book: 25 Things We Love About Dad

Supplies:

•4 pieces of 8½ x 11 white printer paper
•1 piece of 8½ x 11 heavy colored cardstock paper
•hole punch
•ribbon or yarn
•pen, crayons, or markers
•stickers

1. Cut each piece of white paper in half horizontally then fold each in half. Cut your colored cardstock paper a little bit taller to make for an overlapping cover. Fold the cover paper in half as well.
2. Punch 2 holes in each of the paper halves, one at the top and one at the bottom. Make sure that each hole is in the same place for each piece of paper so they match up.
3.Open up each piece of paper and place them on top of each other, with the colored cardstock piece on the bottom acting as the cover.
4. Thread your ribbon through each of the holes, binding all the paper together. Tie the ribbon off with a knot or a bow at the outside fold of the book.
5. Either write or place stickers for the words "25 Things We Love about Dad" on the front cover of the book. You can also decorate the cover with fun stickers to make it a little more fun.
6. Now write 25 things you love about Dad. One thing will go on each page, you should have 25 places to write, on the front and back of each piece of paper. Children can help talk to you about what they love about dad or they can even draw a picture. If your child is too young to write, dictate what they want to say.

Daddy Duct Dollars

Who doesn't love Duct Tape Here is an Idea on how you can give it to dad!

Materials

Duct tape
Clear plastic report cover

Instructions

  1. Lay a 10-inch strip of duct tape sticky-side up on your work surface. Place another 10-inch strip (sticky-side down) halfway down on top of the first strip.
  2. Fold down the top of the first strip over the second strip, then turn over the strips.
  3. Add another strip of tape to the second strip (sticky sides together), then flip over the strips again. Continue building your sheet until it is 6 inches long, then fold up the bottom edge of the last strip. Trim any uneven edges to get a 9- by 6-inch sheet.
  4. Fold the sheet in half, so that the bottom is 1/4 inch from the top. Crease the fold and secure the sides of the wallet together with narrow strips of tape.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 3 to create a 9- by 5-inch sheet of duct tape, then cut this sheet into 4 rectangles, trimming them to 4 by 2 inches each. Tip: For smooth-edged pockets, be sure to leave one 4-inch side of each rectangle uncut.
  6. Set 1 rectangle aside and stack together the other 3 (smooth edges at the top), placing each one 1/4 inch lower than the one beneath it (A). Add strips of tape at the back and along the bottom and sides to secure the pieces together (B).
  7. Tape this assembly in place on the left half of the wallet, 1/4 inch in from the edge and 1/4 inch below the bill pocket. Repeat, placing the remaining duct tape rectangle on the right half of the wallet and taping the bottom and sides in place.
  8. For a photo or ID holder, fold a thin strip of tape over the top edge of a 4- by 2 1/4-inch rectangle cut from a clear plastic report cover. Set the plastic rectangle atop the duct tape rectangle and tape it in place, leaving the top open. Lastly, reinforce the wallet with strips of tape wherever needed.
(Thank you Family Fun)

Of course you can always make him some cookies or cake or anything sweet really and he would be happy! Enjoy and have fun!

Today's Post is brought to you by Ingles, Blockbuster, and McDonalds

This morning we went to Ingles to get our triple coupon on. I got lots of coffee creamer including a money maker on powdered creamer. Spent 13.08 and saved 13.81. Not as good as I had hoped but still ok. I also found Sunday Papers still there. :) Which is a good thing since I forgot to grab some on Sunday.

After the fun trip to the grocery store with both kids we went to blockbuster to go get some movies since we are stuck at home today. Alex is sick. We got 3 movies, 2 cokes, 2 popcorns, and 2 boxes of candy for 6.18. I love having the Total Access for Blockbuster. We get all the movies that we want and special deals for 15 buck a month.

After all the good deals I needed some coffee to get me through the rest of the day so the stop on the way home was through the McDonald's Drive Thru to find that the Frappies were A Buck this week! Nice yet another deal!

Off to do laundry, clean the house, then snuggle up with the babies and watch some movies.

Cinco de Mayo (Memories of May 5, 2008)

Today is a very special day for our family and no it is not because we celebrate Cinco de Mayo. It is because we celebrated a new addition to our family 2 years ago this morning. I can still remember it like it was today. We got up about 5 am so we could get ready to go to the hospital. We called Amy to make sure she was awake and moving around and she met us to get Alex for the day. At this point we had not told anyone that my C-Section had been moved up from 2 in the afternoon to 8:00 am. It was very exciting. The car was packed and there was a new little carseat in the back waiting on the new little baby that was going to fill it. The bag was packed with all the pink that you could imagine plus one little red and white dress.

We arrive at the hospital at 6:00 am and parked and went up to the 2nd floor of Cobb Hospital to get ready to meet our little girl. It all went so fast from there. I went in and got it my lovely new outfit on and the booties and hat to match and got hooked up to all the monitors and then they got the iv team up to get the iv in my arm that was not cooperating. Then Jon got ready. I remember it so well because they had to get him special boots to wear because he had worn shorts that day. (No one told him not to wear shorts) After all that was done I walked (yes you heard me right, walked) into the operating room and sat on the table. They put in the spinal block and got me settled on the table and we got ready to start.

Let me start by saying Abby's C-Section was 20 times harder than Alex's. The whole time they could not regulate my blood pressure so I went back and forth between puking to passing out. It was a lot of fun really (not). Jon was not at all really worried because they kept telling him that everything was getting better. Yeah it got better when the knocked me out. :p It was time for our precious daughter to make her entrance into this world. Abigail Marie Cunningham made her arrival into this world at 8:34 am May 5, 2008. She was 9 pounds 8 ounces (a whole 3 ounces smaller than her brother) and 20 1/2 inches long (1 1/2 inches shorter than her brother). She had beautiful black hair and the brownest eyes that you would ever see on a baby. She was beautiful.

I remember after I got out of surgery and they put her in my arms for the first time. It was love just pure love. She was amazing. She didn't make a sound the first time we met and got to spend some time together. We just looked into each other's eyes and I adored her. She was a pro BFeder. She latched right on and ate like their was no tomorrow.

Jon was wrapped around her little finger from the start. She couldn't even really cry before he would snatch her up to snuggle her. She was and still is and will forever be Daddy's Little Girl. I think that he would give her the moon if he could. They formed a very special bond from the beginning.

Alex came up to the hospital with Renee, Jim, and Jason later that afternoon and could not have been more excited to see his sister. It had just happened that she was out of the room getting her newborn screening when he came so he got to spend a little time with just mommy and daddy while she was out. But the moment she came back into the room mommy and daddy did not exist any longer. He was totally in love with her too. She was her own personal baby doll.

Today she is a rambunctious 2 year old that gets into trouble faster that we stop her. Including the famous Lysol eye incident the day before her birthday and climbing counters and several number of other offences that can't be named at the moment. But she has been our pride and joy from the start. She is our wonderful baby girl and will always be. She is still the most wonderful little girl in the world and we are so lucky that God choose us to be her parents. I am the luckiest mom in the world because I am her mommy. Happy 2nd Birthday Lil' Momma!

Quiet time

Well now that Jason is safe and home from the hospital Jon and Renee will be coming home tomorrow. Don't forget to keep praying for Jason and the family it is still a long road ahead of us all. It has been quiet a week and 1/2.

From the time that Jason went missing to the time that he found us to the time that Jon and Renee were on a plane to Denver was quite a whirlwind so after they left it was not much quieter. Monkey Head had his Teddy Bear Picnic at school on Friday and then Saturday Jenny and Kevin came up to visit (If you ask me Jon asked them to stay the weekend) and we went shopping. Then church on Sunday and the beginning of the month shopping for groceries. So we have not really slowed down at all.

Well today was the first quiet day at home and it was spent working on laundry and cleaning the house. It was nice to have some quiet. Now I am sitting here waiting on the kids to be asleep enough to sneak into their rooms to put away the laundry and enjoying the quiet.

It will be nice to have Jon home tomorrow too and maybe to have a quiet afternoon before play practice. Wednesday is Lil' Momma's 2nd Birthday and we are just going to hang at home and just make the day be about her and just do the things that she likes to do. We were going to go to the zoo but I think we just need some quiet as a family.

Ahhhh...the quiet time is so nice but I know it is only a matter of time before things get crazy again...I mean Lil' Momma's party is Saturday as well as the graduation dinner and a baby shower. Whew it just seems like May is always overloaded. Oh well BRING IT ON!!!

Until tomorrow!
Chris

Tonight's update

Renee and Jon are on their way to Colorado tonight. Their flight should leave around 9:50 and they will arrive in Colorado around 11:20 local time. When they arrive keys to an apartment and food cards from the college are waiting on them. They will be allowed to visit Jason tomorrow around lunchtime after speaking to the dectetive in the morning. Keep praying we are just so thankful that he is safe and alive.

JASON HAS BEEN FOUND!!! ALIVE!!!

It is with great joy and praise this morning that today's update is that Jason has been found. He is dehydrated and hungry but other than that seem to be more or less ok. We are lifting the highest praises to GOD for bringing our brother home safe. The family would like to ask for your continued prayers as our family sifts through the details but the details really do not matter to us at the moment. We know this is not the end of the road but yet the beginning of a new road for us that we will still need continued prayers. We would also ask for you to give us some space as we are dealing with this new situation. Thank you again for all the love and support that you have shown to our family. Please pass this information along to your friends and family and please give them our thanks.

GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

Tonight's Jason Update

It has been a long and emotional day for us all and we want to first say thank you for all the love and support that you have all given us. We still do not know anything about where Jason is or even have any clues where he may have gone. The Detective is working hard on the case and had even turned over some of his other workload to others to focus on Jason's case.

What we know right now is they have now searched his apartment and now found anything that would give us any clues and they have released some personal information to our family. They are going to continue the search for him in the parks surrounding the campus tomorrow. They are working hard on the case and using all the resources that they have.

We will post more information on the blog as we get it and use that as our central location. The blog links can be copied and pasted just as well as anything else and they are public access. Please continue to pray that Jason will be found as well as pray for our family for more strength as we are going through this tough time.

Many thanks.
The Cunningham Family

Please Contact Us

This is Jon Cunningham, Jason's older brother. I would like to speak with anyone who went to the field camp in Montana with Jason a few years ago. I need to know what stops you made and sites you visited please. Please repost this so as many people as possible so we can get this information retrieved quickly! Please call me at 770-842-5540 or e-mail at 3timestrouble@gmail.com

Morning Update

Still not any news from or about Jason. We are still keeping him in our prayers in hopes that he will be found soon. We will not hear from the detective until 11 local time because he has some meetings this morning but Jon was on the phone with him until well after midnight. They are doing everything in their power to find him. Please keep the family in your prayers as well. They really need prayers for strength. They are the best group of people and have already been through too much.

Today we are going to try to make the day as normal as possible for Alex. It is his field day at school so in an hour or two I will be heading to the school and away for the day. Please do not call my cellphone it is too hard to hide it from Alex. I will return to my computer after school and the best way to talk to me is to IM me on Facebook or to IM me on yahoo. Those things are easy to hide from Alex. He is a smart guy was up last night with a "tummy ache" we think that he is just reacting too much to the stress around him.

We have still not decided about church tonight but when we make a decision about it we will let everyone know. Jon wants to come home and stay by the computer and he is so afraid that someone is going to say something in front of Alex. Thank you for your continued prayers and love and support. The Cunningham Family is really overwhelmed with the amount of love that has been shown to us. Thank you all again there just are not enough words to express our thanks.

Update on Jason again.

Still no updates. Nothing new. We are just still sitting back waiting and praying. Jason if you can read this we love you and just want you to know that. Please let us know if you are alright.

Please also pray for our family for support. It is hard being so many states away and not knowing what is happening and having to talk to so many people back and forth on the phone. It is hard to play the waiting game. Renee, Jon, James, and Jim need your prayers as well as those that are standing behind them as they go through this.It is hard to see my husband and our family in so much pain. Thank you all for reposting and getting the message out. Words can not express what it means to our family.

Here is another reminder about what Jason looks like and some more information on him. http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.coloradoan.com%2Farticle%2F20100427%2FUPDATES01%2F100427014%2FCSU%2520police%2520seek%2520public%2520s%2520help%2520locating%2520student%2520reported%2520missing%2520from%2520Fort%2520Collins%2520campus&h=6a30e

Who sent the tornado through my house?

My house is the biggest mess that you could ever see at the moment. We have not even recovered from vacation mess yet and now we are planning another trip this weekend to the lake for our big family reunion. It should be a lot of fun except the weather is calling for rain this weekend and we are tent camping. WOO HOOO! But first I have to start getting our house cleaned up so we can start getting our stuff together but at the moment I can't really get my butt off the couch to get started. That and as soon as one thing is clean Lil' Momma and Monkey Head mess it up as soon as I get it clean. Oh well. I guess it will get clean sooner or later.

Lil' Momma knows how to melt my heart

So today started out kinda rough when I found Lil' Momma in the corner of the hallway stuffing glue up her nose. Thankfully, it was the purple glue so it was easy to clean up and get out of her nose. I thought WONDERFUL! Is this going to be my day. Thankfully it wasn't. :) We had a good day after that. Breakfast together then lunch together then naps together. After Lil' Momma woke up from her nap she was in a lap sitting kinda mood, which was great because most of the time she is not a cuddle bug and wants to be left alone. Althought it did not last very long, it was nice having her sit in my lap for a bit.

She went to play and I went on with the DVR show that I was watching when all of a sudden she turned around from what she was doing and ran straight for me. She threw her arms around me and says, "I wub you, Mamda." I mean how much better than that could being a mommy be.

Our Vacation Journey

Day 1

The internet is hard to come by so we are having to find WiFi access points. We made it here safe and actually with good time. We only added an hour onto our trip in stops.

We have already spent the afternoon on the beach and the kids had fun playing in the sand. Abby went right up to the water running full force until she hit the VERY cold Atantic Ocean then it knocked her over and she decided that she was not going to have anything else to do with that.

Alex however had a blast playing in the ocean! He loved it even more when Daddy went into the ocean with him to play. They went far out and jumped waves.

The only downside besides the whole internet thing is that the a/c is not working in the room so Bill and Theresa are coming over tomorrow to look at it which is a good thing because we are looking forward to remeeting the folks that made our family vacation possible.

Jon, Christina, Alex, and Abby with our toes in the water and well you know the rest of the song....

Day 2

We are at the Panera Bread Company and we took today as a sight seeing day, after of course a trip to Walmart to get a fan and water and pacifiers (can you tell we are suffering?) After the needed trip we returned to the condo to put stuff up and then we were off. We went today to the peir which was sadly closed for painting and to the famous Daytona Boardwalk. The kids had a blast running up and down the boardwalk.

After that we got in the car and drove to the speedway to see it. We even got all the way to Dale Earnhart's Grandstand (from outside the fence) we decided that the tours cost too much for this trip and just drove all the way around it. We are actually setting across from it now eating lunch. We can see it. Alex thought it was cool and wanted to drive on the track. We told him that they prob would not let us. ;)

When we leave here we are headed back to get stuff situated for the beach and we will play until it is time to head down to Flager Beach to have dinner with friends. Tomorrow morning we are going to take pictures on the beach durning the sunrise since it is right in front of the condo.

It was absolutely wonderful to wake up the the sunrising over the ocean and we could look at it from our bed. It has been a great trip so far!

Until tomorrow! Love you bunches.

Jon the beach bum, Alex the wave runner, Abby the crabby sand crab, and Christina Beach Beauty.

Day 3

We have to head back to Walmart this morning to return the gate that broke after the 1st time we used it. The a/c is still not working but with the fan last night everyone was able to sleep better. They have an a/c repairman was coming this morning/afternoon but had a family emergency so he will not be here until tomorrow XX fingers that it will be an easy fix.

Good news we found the Krispy Kreme and we are waiting on the hot sign. ;) Jon says our eating out days are over for this trip because we brought all kinds of food that has not been used yet. Well we cooked breakfast yesterday and had cereal this morning be all the other meals have been away from the condo because it has been too hot.
After the Walmart trip we went to the lighthouse at Ponce Point and walked around there for a while. We did not go up because it had not opened yet and we found a really cool place while we were looking around the docks and such while we were waiting. They have a nature reserve place down here that reablilitates sea turtles. We had the best guide in the world and she taught us and answered every 1000 question that Alex asked. It was so worth the whole 12 bucks we paid and more! (the 12 bucks was for all of us)
After that we came back to the condo and had lunch and took naps and I finished my book and went in search of other things to do while the nappers were happening. It was a quiet day and very nice. The nicest part is sitting here at Panera Bread drinking my iced coffee and playing on the internet in QUIET and ALONE! We will most likely not update tomorrow because we are planning on spending the entire day on the beach!!! Then Friday we are up to Jacksonville. Then home on Saturday.
Until tomorrow!!!
Jon, Christina, Alex, and Abby (who has been ill as a hornet the entire trip)

Day 4

We thought that we had fixed the a/c last night but alas it did not work for more than a couple of hours. We thought that it might just be a clogged filter. The a/c guy is coming today (we hope) but I am guessing at this point it is not that big of a deal. We are leaving for Jacksonville tomorrow afternoon. The morning started out kind rough. Alex has a rash all over his back and chest. We are thinking that it might be the sunscreen and are going back to the Arbonne Sunscreen today. It has mostly went away with the dose of benadryl that we gave him.
Today we plan on spending most of the day at the beach and pool. Although we are headed to Krispy Kreme this morning to pick up donuts. ;) Tomorrow is cleaning day before we head on back up North. The only other bad part of the trip. :) It is not going to be that bad. I figured that I will clean up and send Jon down to the pool or the beach with the kids while I work on cleaning up. Or maybe I will send them to the park to play. I think it will be easier to clean up with out children under my feet.
Well that's it for today. Pray for no sunburns and for us to remember to reapply sunscreen today.
Until tomorrow!
Jon, Christina, Rashy Alex, and Cranky Abby
PS Just got done at KK. The hot sign was on! OH MY!!!! MMMMMMMMM

We did not write anything for Day 5 and 6 because we were traveling most of the day but you know it was a wonderful trip and we can't wait to go again. I even stood outside the house today while the wind was blowing and imagined that I was standing on the beach. It only worked for a moment until the pollen started hitting me in the face. Oh well...back to reality.

Until tomorrow~

Thankful Thursday

WOW! I have so much to be thankful for right now. I love my family! I love my friends! I love that it is Thursday and tomorrow is Friday and that start Spring Break! I love my church family! I love my God and he loves me!

In a world where there is so much to worry about there is a time in your life and my life that we just have to list it sometimes and just be thankful about life. My family is awesome! I have the best family ever! Big Daddy couldn't be any better, he has to be the best hubby ever. He is so kind and compassionate and holds to much love for me and our children. We have the best children ever also! Monkey Head is just so smart and loving and just growing up so fast! Lil' Momma is so funny and wonderful and just lights up our day. How could we not love our life.

I also have the best friends that call for coffee or just to check on me if I seem like I am having a bad day. Nothing like getting a phone call because of a Facebook post. They are always there for me. I could name them all by name but I am so lucky to have so many and those that I love so much know who they are. ;)

Tomorrow is Friday and the last day before Spring Break so guess where I will be all day long. If you guessed the school you got it right. It will be a full day of fun activities, dances, and egg hunts and a fun day! But after that and our 1/2 way busy weekend we will make our way to the beach! We can not wait it will be our first family vacation!!! Don't worry there will be lots of pictures!

Most of all I am thankful that I have a wonderful church family to help me in my spiritual walk and that Jesus is my Savior! Thank you God for sending your son to walk this Earth and show us how to do it. Thank you Jesus for giving your life to save mine! How awesome is that when we are celebrating his final days that tomorrow Good Friday he died and was buried but the grave could not hold him because he rose again and now sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty and one day he will come again. Thank you God for my life!

Until tomorrow!

Me vs the Mall

So yesterday I wadged a war on the Mall. The mission was to find the kids shoes, a dress for Easter, and the worst thing ever...a bathing suit. I HATE shopping for myself. I am not as small as I use to be prekids so it is hard to shop for myself because I see the sizes just going up and up and up and it just makes me feel so bad. I know that I need to lose A LOT of weight but I don't need it shoved in my face by clothes shopping therefore I hate doing it and don't usually do it.

Anyways...So I started out and got to the first destination, Kohls at about 10 am. I stayed there for about 20 mins and left empty handed and without a even trying on anything. Next was Ross and it went a lot better than Kohls. I found several dresses to try on and even a few dozen dresses. Although I found a really cute beach dress, no such luck on the Easter Dress. Off to the mall for more torture after that. No luck at most of the stores there. I did find a cute dress at Old Navy that would work but I was still not happy with so I decided to keep looking but it was time to go pick up Monkey Head from school.

I had to meet a friend to give her a bag of clothes and she suggested the Cato and even went with me. It was amazing!!! I found the most perfect skirt and found a great green shirt to go with it! So it was FINALLY a success! Next to Walmart and to look for a bathing suit which I found and did not bother to try on. So I thought that I had success but after trying it on last night I decided that it might be a little too umm....risky. I mean WHOA BOOBAGE!!! Jon liked it but I am not sure that it will be beach worthy. lol So I am off again today to try again....as soon as Lil'Momma wakes up from her nap.

Oh well....Until tomorrow.

WOW what a weekend!

So the Mr. and Mrs. C and the tots had quite a weekend. We ran like crazy and had a very OVER full weekend. Friday started out to be a fun day since Daddy took the day off to take Monkey Head a a field trip. Lil'Momma and I met them at Publix and took a tour with them and then hung out at home while they went to go see the play. When they got home we all took a trip to get lunch and then hung out at Nana's while we were doing laundry until it was time to go to Praise Band Practice at the church.

Saturday started just as fun! We got up and went to the Easter Bunny Breakfast which was a Mad Hatter Tea Party theme and it was so much fun! It was a great way to start the day. Then our family split up and attacked the day in two different ways. Jon and Lil' Momma went to a family gathering and Monkey Head and I went to an Egg Hunt at Toys R Us and then to lunch and still had LOTS of time on our hands so we went to the bowling alley early and bowled a game just the two of us and had lots of fun at the party after that. We had to come home and get ready for the Sweetheart Dance at the church after that but before that we had to get the Eggs boiled and ready for the Seder Meal. We ended the day just a fun as we started by dancing our night away.

Today started a little rough because as always we woke up late but once we realized that everything we were doing today was for our Lord almightly the day got better. We got to church early to help prepare food and set up for the Seder Meal. I had never done a Seder Meal before so it was very interesting learning about all the foods that were eatten and the meaning behind them all. It was a great way to start Holy Week. After church we went to the mall to eat lunch and buy time until it was to go to the play. We did find a tie for Jon however I am beginning to think that I will have to go to chuch nekkid on Sunday. :p After the Mall we went to the play at CHHS. They did a wonderful job of Joseph and the kids really liked the play.

It was just such a great weekend and we are looking forward to a full week before we are off of school and work for a week! Looking forward to it so much!

Until tomorrow!

Easter Thoughts

Ok so I have to say that this is the best Easter Book EVER. We have been trying to teach Alex that Easter is not all about the Bunny and candy and little fluffy peeps that you bite their heads off of. It is more important to us that he know that Easter is about what Jesus did for us and not about the commercialisms behind what it has become. This book tells about the story of a town that lost real meaning of Easter and how no one could remember why the started to celebrate Easter. A little boy questions it all and finds the true meaning of Easter. Great Book and a great reminder of what Jesus really did for us.

Here is a part from the book that nearly brought me to tears because of God's love for us and Jesus' ultamate sacrafice for us:

"Then Henry told the story of when God sent his own Son
And how He lived among us and all the deeds He'd done.
"And after years of teaching some and healing many others,
He gave His life foe everyone--His sisters and His brothers.

Upon a cross, He took our sins. 'Forgive them God,' He said.
He died--but three days later, He rose up from the dead!
So now when Easter season comes--the some time every spring,
It's Jesus we should celebrate. His praises we should sing!

With wide eyes Sam just listened--he sat there in a daze--
And after hearing that great tale, he really was amazed.
'There's nothing wrong,' old Henry said, 'with bunnies, eggs, and things,
But something's wrong when we forget the One who's King of Kings.'"

Monkey Crack

Ok so this afternoon as we were sitting at Renee's doning the laundry yet again J intoduced me to a new game. You know how fun popping bubble wrap is and you know how fun blowing stuff up is. Imagine blowing stuff up, popping bubble wrap and MONKEYS then you will have monkey crack. This game was so much fun that I played it for 2 hours straight.

So between Facecrack and Monkey Crack there is not going to be anything done at my house anymore. It was so much fun. Ok so here is the link so you will know what Monkey Crack is and you will become addicted and your house will look like mine too. :) http://www.ninjakiwi.com/Games/Tower-Defense/Play/Bloons-Tower-Defense-4.html

Twilight/New Moon

This is come to no suprise to most of you that I am a HUGE Twilight Fan! I mean we went out at Midnight to get New Moon just last week with all the teenagers. I think that I could not have heard "like" one more time without smacking one of them but hey that's a different story and not where I was going with this blog.

Anyways...So today Whitney came over and we had a Twilight Marathon. We watched both of the movies and it was a lot of fun we talked about it and made a little fun of it all but I think the funniest thing is that I can no longer watch Twilight without thinking about the Spoof that Saturday Night Live did with Taylor Swift. I just can't do it lol I just makes me laugh every time! lol

Here it is...

Bathroom Floor Blogging

So there is I think nothing in the world funner than potty training. I think that I would rather get a tooth pulled than potty train again. But alas, you have a second child and it starts all over again about two or so.

You sit in the floor of the bathroom singing songs and trying to entertain said almost 2 year old while they sit on the potty trying to poop because you "caught" them crouching behind the sofa trying to do their business. You know that they have to do a number two and you know that they can get down as soon as the poo happens but they insist on saying Mommy Down every 2 or so seconds.

But just keeping thinking that, ok kid. I can outlast you. I have my computer, my blog, and Facebook for hours of entertainment while you just have to poop. Just get it over with do the Poo and then get a Jelly Bean. I can outlast you. :)

That's my word for today!

Ok Trying this again

Ok so I know that it has been more than a while since I last posted but let's face it. Life is busy. Really busy most of the time. Well what have you been up to the last year you say. Well I have been living and living is great!

Alex is now a happy healthily 5 year old. (Where does the time go?) He has been in PreK at a local Elementary School since August and is learning so much.

Abby is now a whole 22 months old. She is heading fast to the big 2. She is growing and THRIVING and healthy. She is our daredevil. She climbs and jumps and is not afraid of anything. She has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger.

Jon is Jon busy busy busy techie that is always working on the computers wither it is at work, at home fixing my computer that I always seem to break, or the computer at church while working on the sound board. He is still doing bible studies with the youth at our church on Wednesday Nights. He is still the best daddy ever to our children and works so hard to support of family and has so much love in his heart for us all as well as everyone really.

I am busier than ever. I feel I spend 1/2 my time at the school helping in any way that I can or maybe just so I can peek in on my little man (remember this is ALL day school now). With what is left with my time I am tending to the house or my facebook (hehehe) or at the church. I am still active in the drama ministry, I am singing in the praise band and now I am attending an ADULT Women's Bible Study. I was sad to leave the youth but I need to fill my mind with some study time for me. I know it sounds selfish but how can you teach others about Jesus when you need to learn about it yourself.

I find that the things that I wrap myself up are about fulfilling my life and bring me closer in my walk with Faith. I know that I am moving away from some friends because our lives are going in different directions but I am also making new friends that are heading the same way that I am and it is a nice thing. Anyways I have gone on long enough. I will try not to delay so long on posting.

Until tomorrow. :)
